You are going to use this hyperlink on the DOMESDAY BOOK

1.
Using the online lesson please work through the tasks and answer the questions
below in full sentences in your exercise books:
What
is a shire?
What
did William want to find out?
What
sort of items did the Domesday book record?
What
is a reeve?
Why
had the value of land in Lincoln gone down?
Write
a few sentences summarising what the Domesday book is and why it has this
strange title.
2.
When you have finished the lesson you could try the Test section.
3.
You are going to create a table like the one below. Use the sheet called ‘Local
Domesday Entries’ to get the information about the villages and
Lincoln itself.
To
make the chart open a Word document.
Write
your name and then put the title: A Table to show Local Domesday Entries.
Then
click on the Table icon on the menu bar.
Select
the Insert option and Table.
Click
on Table.
Change
the number of columns to 7 and rows to 7.
Then
click on OK.
The
table should appear in your document and you can begin to fill it in as below.
You
can change the font and its size.
Do
not forget to save your work. Now print your document.
